Strike on Oil Depot in Rostov Region

On June 23, Ukrainian defense forces successfully targeted the “Atlas” oil depot located in the Rostov region of Russia as part of an operation aimed at diminishing offensive capabilities. This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports 24brussels.

The assault on the Russian oil facility involved Special Operations Forces collaborating closely with missile troops and artillery units.

The “Atlas” depot serves as a supply point for fuel and lubricants for Russian military units engaged in the armed aggression against Ukraine, particularly in the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

The General Staff confirmed that the target area was reached during the operation. A fire has been recorded as a result of the attack, with military command investigating the extent of damage caused.

This oil depot, situated in the Kamensky district, has now been set ablaze for the third time since the outset of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The last drone strike occurred on November 29, 2024.
