Samsung offers $50 credit for preordering upcoming Galaxy foldable

Samsung has announced an Unpacked event scheduled for July 9th at 10 AM ET, where the company is expected to reveal a new premium foldable phone. The event carries the tagline “Ultra Unfolds,” hinting at the unveiling of the latest innovations in foldable technology, reports 24brussels.

Although details are limited, Samsung is providing an incentive for early interest in the device. Customers who submit a reservation form with their name and email will receive a $50 Samsung store credit upon pre-order and purchase of the device. The reservation also sets up an alert for when pre-orders commence, ensuring customers do not miss the opportunity. The credit cannot be used toward the smartphone purchase itself but can be applied to future purchases on Samsung’s website.

The Unpacked event is expected to display a sleek foldable smartphone bearing the Ultra branding, a designation previously associated with Samsung’s flagship S-series phones. Recent press materials have alluded to a foldable device equipped with a “powerful camera,” addressing feedback from industry reviewers regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 6 model.

This month, Samsung also released imagery referring to upcoming models, indicating that a Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 may be on the horizon. These revelations align with earlier reports suggesting that Samsung is preparing multiple foldable devices for launch this year.

Anticipation is building as consumers and tech enthusiasts look forward to what Samsung has in store at the upcoming event which could significantly impact the foldable phone market.
