Russian Attack Disrupts Power Supply in Kherson Region

On June 27, 2025, Russian forces targeted a key energy facility in the Kherson region, leading to significant power outages across multiple communities. This attack was confirmed by Olexandr Prokudin, head of the regional military administration, reports 24brussels.

Prokudin stated, “Ahead of Constitution Day, the Russians decided to plunge Kherson into darkness by attacking a vital energy installation. As a result of the strike, there are now electricity supply issues in several localities.”

He urged residents to prepare for an extended absence of electricity, emphasizing that energy workers are making every effort to stabilize the situation.

Additionally, earlier reports indicated that Russian forces in the Korable area of the city targeted an ambulance vehicle responding to a call. As a result of this act, a 42-year-old emergency medical technician and a 34-year-old paramedic suffered serious injuries, including cranial and blast trauma, and were hospitalized.

Officials continue to express concerns about the ongoing violence and its impact on local infrastructure, urging vigilance among the population.
