Ukrainian Forces Down Nine Russian Drones in Recent Attack

On June 30, during a nighttime air assault by Russian forces on Ukraine, the Ukrainian Navy’s armed forces successfully shot down nine Iranian-made SHAHED-136 kamikaze drones. This was reported by the official Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Navy.

The naval forces, along with other defense units, have intensified their operations against enemy threats on land, sea, and in the air.

The exact location where the Navy downed the drones was not specified. However, air raid alerts were issued twice in Odesa and once in Mykolaiv regions that night.

The Air Forces of Ukraine reported the presence of a group of Russian strike UAVs in the Black Sea area, heading towards Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, with subsequent drone activity observed toward Odesa and Chornomorsk.

Local reports indicated explosions in Chornomorsk, accompanied by a significant fire following the attacks.

It is also known that naval aviation can engage enemy aerial targets far from coastal regions.

Earlier reports indicated that on June 30, drone strikes in the Kharkiv region resulted in fires, injuring four individuals.

In total, these incidents reflect the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, characterized by persistent aerial threats from Russian forces, as both sides continue to engage in military maneuvers.
