Explosions Reported in Luhansk Amid Ongoing Conflict

Explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied city of Luhansk on July 1, 2025. Fires have been reported at multiple locations, including Russian military logistics facilities and a possible oil depot. These incidents occurred following strikes on occupied Donetsk, reports 24brussels.

Local Telegram channels are posting videos showing explosions and fires, with drone sounds audible in the footage. The occupying authorities claimed that their air defense systems were activated to counter at least four drones.

In addition to Luhansk, other temporarily occupied cities have also experienced attacks. Explosions have been reported in Yasynuvata in Donetsk region and in Antratsyt in Luhansk region.

According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, logistics facilities used by Russian soldiers are on fire due to the strikes.

At the time of publication, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had not commented on the strikes in Donetsk and Luhansk.

It is notable that Ukraine’s forces had previously struck an enemy convoy in Makiyivka, resulting in significant casualties among occupiers.
