Massive Drone Attack on Poltava Results in Casualties
On the morning of July 3, 2025, a large-scale drone strike by Russian forces targeted Poltava, leading to at least 47 casualties, according to local police reports, 24brussels.
The injured include two law enforcement officers and two servicewomen from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, alongside a similar number of military personnel from local territorial centers for recruitment and social support. Medical teams are currently providing necessary assistance to all wounded individuals.
Additionally, two fatalities were reported in the city as emergency services concluded search and rescue operations at the impact sites.
On June 30, Russian forces attacked a territorial center for recruitment and social support in Kryvyi Rih with a kamikaze drone. Civilians in proximity to the strike were injured. Vitaly Sarancev, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ground Forces Command, noted that Russia aims to disrupt the mobilization process in Ukraine with these strikes.
