Russian Attack Causes Damage to Polish Consulate in Kyiv
A Russian air strike on July 4 has damaged the Polish consulate in Kyiv, according to Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski on social media. The attack, involving a massive bombardment, targeted various locations in Ukraine, particularly Kyiv, reports 24brussels.
Sikorski confirmed that he had spoken with Ambassador Lukaśevich, stating that “everyone is alive and well” following the incident. He emphasized the urgent need for improved air defense systems in Ukraine.
In another statement directed at U.S. President Donald Trump, Sikorski urged the restoration of military supplies to Ukraine, specifically anti-aircraft ammunition, amid escalating Russian offensives and air attacks. “President Trump, Putin is mocking your peace efforts. Please restore supplies of anti-aircraft ammunition to Ukraine and impose tough new sanctions on the aggressor,” he remarked.

In an extensive night raid, Russia launched 550 drones and missiles across Ukraine, with air defense forces successfully intercepting 478 of them. Kyiv, as usual, became a primary target. The city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported debris falling in five districts, resulting in at least 14 injuries.
Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat indicated that the nighttime assault demonstrated a new record in the use of “Shahed” drones, with over 330 deployed during this attack.
