Ukrainian Forces Advance in Luhansk Region Amid Ongoing Clashes

Ukrainian troops have recently gained ground in the eastern part of the village of Novoyehorivka, located within the Kolomiychyska rural community of the Svatove district, according to a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which referenced geolocation video evidence. The situation remains tense as Russian sources claim that their forces have advanced south of Karpyivka and to the west and southwest of Zeleny Dolyny. However, ISW has not confirmed this information.

Additionally, U.S. war researchers noted statements from the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), indicating that the Russian military command had set a goal for its troops to capture the village of Torske by July 1.

Ukrainian information resource DeepState reports that the enemy continues to attempt to infiltrate Torske using mobile groups on motorcycles, with Ukrainian forces managing to timely counter these incursions, including an incident where the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade stopped enemy motorcyclists trying to break through to Torske.

The General Staff of the UAF, in its evening report, informed that intense fighting continues in the Luhansk direction, with Russian forces launching 23 attacks in the areas of Hrekivka, Chervonyi Stav, Serebryanka, and Karpyivka, as well as towards Novyi Myr and Torske.

Prior reports indicated that both Ukrainian and Russian troops were advancing in the neighboring Siversky direction near Hryhorivka. Moreover, the overall situation in the region remains complex, highlighting the ongoing hostilities and the strategic importance of the area for both sides, reports 24brussels.
