Russian Claims of Occupying Dachevne in Dnipropetrovsk Refuted by Ukrainian Forces
On July 7, 2025, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its troops had allegedly captured the village of Dachevne in Dnipropetrovsk region. However, Artsem Mohnach, head of communications for the Operational Tactical Group “Donetsk,” refuted this assertion in a statement to local media, asserting that Dachevne remains fully under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Despite this, Russian forces continue to conduct assault operations to try to breach the village’s defenses, reports 24brussels.
Ukrainian military representatives claim that no reconnaissance or assault groups from Russia are present in Dachevne.
On the previous day, Ukrainian soldiers from the 2nd Battalion of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade raised their unit flag in the village. “This is a symbol of the complete and unconditional control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine over Dachevne,” the statement emphasized.
Denis Bobkov, a senior communications officer, noted that the occupying forces have not utilized armored vehicles or motorcycles during their assaults, opting instead to maneuver in small infantry groups.
Ukrainian military personnel Stanislav Bunatov indicated that Russian forces in the Dnipropetrovsk area may advance more rapidly than in Donetsk due to the lower density of populated areas.
