Russian Forces Advance in Two Regions, Reports Indicate

On July 8, 2025, Russian troops made significant advances in two regions, affecting five populated areas. This development was reported by the Ukrainian information resource DeepState, which recently updated its interactive maps, reports 24brussels.

In the western Zaporizhia region, specifically on the Orikhiv front, the enemy achieved success in the village of Kam’yanske, within the Vasylivka urban community of the Vasylivka district.

Additional Russian movements were observed in Donetsk region, with two notable advances on the Novopavlivka front, currently experiencing some of the most intense fighting, second only to the Pokrovsk region. Here, Russian forces progressed near Komar and close to Zaporizhia.

Furthermore, Russian troops advanced into Toretsk, and on the northern flank of the Pokrovsk front, they moved into the village of Yablunivka.

Earlier reports indicated that Russian forces had shifted their operational priorities along this section of the front, redirecting their efforts towards Dobropillia.
