Russia strikes Ukraine overnight: 344 targets hit, over 250 suppressed

Russia Launches Extensive Night Attack on Ukraine

On July 12, 2025, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian forces initiated a significant nighttime assault involving 623 strike assets, including 597 drones dubbed “Shaheds” and 26 Kh-101 cruise missiles. Ukrainian defenders successfully intercepted and destroyed 344 aerial targets, comprising 319 enemy drones and 25 cruise missiles, reports 24brussels.

Furthermore, an additional 258 imitation drones were either location-lost or suppressed by electronic warfare systems. The Air Force documented a missile strike and 20 attacking drones across five locations, along with debris from the downed aircraft scattered over 19 locations.
