In the early hours of July 19, 2025, explosive sounds were reported in Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as Russian forces launched missile attacks on the city. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed a rapid response to a target in Pavlograd around 2:12 AM, following earlier noise disturbances in the area at midnight, reports 24brussels.

Shortly thereafter, at approximately 2:12 AM, the Air Force warned of an incoming fast-moving target from Donetsk. A minute later, local reports indicated that two Iskander missiles had been fired at Pavlograd, with subsequent alerts about further missile threats passing over Kharkiv Oblast around 2:16 AM. The Air Force also stated that the city was under continued attack by enemy drones.
