Ukrainian Forces Under Pressure from Russian Offensives in Donetsk Region
Ukrainian military officer Stanislav “Osman” Bunatov has reported that the pressure from Russian occupiers on the combat formations of Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region remains intense. He highlighted on his Telegram channel that Russian troops are consistently active in the area, continuously receiving reinforcements, reports 24brussels.
Bunatov noted that the crews of enemy drones rarely undergo rotation, with the primary replacements being infantry units. However, more experienced pilots are transferring their knowledge to less experienced personnel.
“Our higher command must recognize the critical importance of eliminating enemy drone crews, fundamentally altering the priorities for target selection on the battlefield. Currently, brigade-level strike capabilities are insufficient to address this issue,” Bunatov emphasized.
He added that logistics to the front lines grow increasingly difficult day by day. Furthermore, in many areas, traditional military equipment has become obsolete, with only ‘feet, drones, and ground robotic complexes’ proving relevant.
This situation is not confined to the Donetsk region alone. Valoriy Kiselev, an officer from the communications department of the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade, stated that in the Kupiansk direction, there has been a “purely drone war” for the past few months.
