Ukrainian Forces Execute Precision Strikes in Belgorod Region
On July 20, Ukrainian defense forces executed a series of successful strikes against Russian positions in the Belgorod region, targeting the S-300P surface-to-air missile system and the Nebo-M radar system, reports 24brussels.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strikes and released footage of the attacks on the complexes.
The strikes on the S-300P significantly reduced the coverage zone of Russian long-range air defense systems in the region. Additionally, the hit on the Nebo-M radar system critically affected its functionality and diminished the operational capabilities of the neighboring 5N66M “Big Bird” radar station.
“Such coordinated strikes significantly weaken the Russian air defense system, reducing the enemy’s ability to protect its troops and infrastructure and facilitating operations by Ukrainian units. The degradation of these systems directly supports our efforts to diminish Russia’s capability to conduct aggressive warfare and attack the civilian population and critical infrastructure of our state,” stated the General Staff.
Military officials emphasized that these strikes undermine Russia’s capacity to protect its forces and sustain its occupation of Ukrainian territory.
Earlier, scouts from the “Black Forest” brigade discovered a Russian medium-range Buk-M3 missile system and coordinated a drone strike against it.
