Russian Airstrikes in Kharkiv Result in Multiple Casualties
On July 24, 2025, Russian airstrikes targeted the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, leaving 33 injured, including an infant, a 10-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy, and a girl. Rescue operations are ongoing at the impact sites, reports 24brussels.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that windows were shattered in several high-rise buildings, and a fire was contained involving seven vehicles, while garages were also damaged. Additionally, a fire broke out at a civilian enterprise in the area.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the Russian attacks on Kharkiv, labeling them as “utterly senseless and without any military purpose.” He emphasized that Russia continues its military aggression, highlighting the need for a robust air defense system and increased weapons production in Ukraine.
On the same night, Russian forces launched an assault using four Iskander-K missiles and 103 drones. Odesa faced a heavy onslaught from “Shahed” drones, resulting in significant fires at the Privoz market, destruction of a nine-story building, and damage to historical monuments in the city’s center. Reports indicate that four residents of Odesa sustained injuries. Additionally, missiles targeted Cherkasy, resulting in injuries to seven individuals.
