Museum Night in Antwerp Welcomes Visitors with Special Events

Various museums will offer unique activities to celebrate the occasion. AMUZ will feature a performance by singer Romain Dayez, aiming to push the boundaries of Gregorian chant, electronica, and classical music.
The M HKA has adopted “space” as its theme, showcasing 2,500 stars projected on a giant dome. Additionally, the afterparty for the event will occur at De Studio, where DJs and a hairstylist will entertain attendees at MAS, which is also hosting speed tours of its collection.
Illustrators and Garden Tour at Various Venues
Despite some Antwerp museums undergoing renovations, they are still participating in Museum Night. The Vleeshuis will allow illustrators, including Nina Aerts, Auwnanas, and Niet Nu Laura, to work on-site in vacant offices.
The Rubens House will open the Rubens Garden, while the Mayer van den Bergh Museum will showcase part of its collection at the Maagdenhuis, accompanied by live performances.
City’s Cultural Sector Thriving
Antwerp’s alderwoman for culture, Lien Van de Kelder, remarked, “For me, Museum Night is the perfect opportunity to head into the city with friends for a culture-filled evening full of surprises.”
She added, “Cycling past twenty museums and cultural centres with the free Velo day pass and being able to enter everywhere with a single wristband is wonderful. Our Antwerp cultural sector is thriving, and you can experience this for yourself during Museum Night.”
Advance tickets for Museum Night are priced at 20 euros, or 15 euros for attendees under 26 years old. Wristbands will allow access to participating museums until 31 August, in case visitors are unable to explore all venues in one night.
