Pebble Time 2 Officially Revealed

Core Devices has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Pebble Time 2, scheduled for shipment later this year, following its revival as Pebble. The announcement was made by CEO Eric Migicovsky through his blog and social media, highlighting a sleek design that features a stainless steel casing, RGB backlighting, a compass, and enhanced hardware specifications, reports 24brussels.

The Time 2, weighing approximately 48 grams with the strap, incorporates a 1.5-inch, 64-color e-paper display, heart rate monitoring capabilities, and a robust 30-day battery life. The design closely resembles the original Pebble Time with a modern iteration, showcasing significantly smaller bezels compared to the Pebble Time Steel while adopting rounded edges that enhance its aesthetic appeal.

In the latest update, Migicovsky revealed that four color options are being considered for the watch—a decision still open for fan input. The device will also include a second microphone and a screw-mounted back cover, further underscoring its premium attributes. “This is basically the watch of my dreams,” Migicovsky commented, emphasizing his enthusiasm for the new design features and functionality.

Individuals who pre-ordered the original Pebble 2 Duo will receive a survey shortly to facilitate any order adjustments. As anticipation builds, Pebble fans await more details and an opportunity to engage directly with the design process of the Time 2.
