Hollow Knight: Silksong Set for September Release
Hollow Knight: Silksong, the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed game Hollow Knight, will launch on September 4, 2025. This announcement was made during a special announcement video released on Thursday, reports 24brussels.
The sequel features Hornet, a prominent character from the original game, and introduces players to a new kingdom filled with unique areas, enemies, and challenging bosses. Silksong will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Since its initial announcement in 2019, Silksong has garnered significant attention, becoming the most wishlisted game on Steam. Despite the prolonged development timeline, Ari Gibson, co-founder of Team Cherry, reassured fans that the game was never stagnant. “It was always progressing. It’s just the case that we’re a small team, and games take a lot of time. There wasn’t any big controversial moment behind it,” Gibson stated.
Co-founder William Pellen added, “We could have kept going,” indicating that the team plans to expand content post-launch. This commitment to quality and depth reflects Team Cherry’s dedication to delivering an exceptional gaming experience.
