Ukraine Calls on the West to Pressure Russia for Negotiations

The West must pressure Russia to come to the negotiating table. Ukraine stands poised for victory, seeking only a fair and lasting peace, said Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, in an interview with American broadcaster Newsmax, reports 24brussels.

Following successful talks in Washington, Yermak noted that Ukraine sees no signs from Russia indicating readiness to organize a bilateral meeting mentioned at the White House.

“It is crucial to understand that, in this challenging situation, Ukraine is not losing this war, and Russia is not winning,” emphasized the head of the President’s Office.

Yermak recalled Ukraine’s appeals to the West for military support, stating, “Give us weapons and you will see how we fight.”

“Now the whole world recognizes that Ukrainians are fighting better than anyone in history,” said Yermak. He added that financial support from allies has made Ukraine a leading producer of drones.

“We asked for financial assistance, and you will see how we develop our production. Now everyone recognizes: we are leaders in drone manufacturing,” the official noted.

Currently, Yermak stated, Ukraine is ready to meet with Russia at the leadership level and is confident of its victory at the negotiating table.

“Now we ask—pressure Russia, push Russia to the negotiating table, and you will see: we will be victorious at the bargaining table. Because we are strong and want a fair and lasting peace,” Yermak stated.

According to Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Yuri Kasyanov, a radio engineer and expert in aerial reconnaissance, millions spent on producing specific weapon versions do not always result in serial production.
