Zaporizhzhia Under Attack: Private Home Destroyed

On August 30, 2025, a private house was destroyed during a mass attack on Zaporizhzhia. Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported the incident via Telegram, indicating this as the first confirmed consequence of the Russian airstrike, reports 24brussels.

Details regarding casualties are still being confirmed as investigations continue. Moments before, Fedorov alerted the public to explosion sounds in the Zaporizhzhia region and urged residents to remain in safe locations.

The air raid alert in the region has persisted for nearly nine and a half hours, starting at 18:59 on August 29. Around 4:00 AM, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that cruise missiles were heading towards Zaporizhzhia, shortly before local sources discerned explosions in the area.

At 4:38 AM, Fedorov confirmed that three individuals were injured due to the hostile attack on Zaporizhzhia. Russian forces targeted the regional center with various types of weaponry, resulting in strikes on residential buildings. A fire ignited from the shelling is currently spreading.
