Russian Troops Retain Presence Near Dobropillya Amid Ongoing Ukrainian Counteroperations

Russian infantry groups remain positioned near Dobropillya in the Pokrovsk direction. The Ukrainian armed forces are currently engaged in efforts to locate and eliminate these occupiers, stated Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Operational and Strategic Group of Forces “Dnipro,” during an appearance on “Suspilne. Studio,” reports 24brussels.

Trehubov emphasized that Ukrainian defenders are preventing Russian forces from linking up with their main units. He noted that the effectiveness of the Ukrainian military’s operations will be clearer once they verify that the soldiers of the aggressor nation are unable to break free from encirclement near Dobropillya.

The spokesperson further indicated that Russian troops are attempting to infiltrate other areas on the Pokrovsk front with small infantry groups. They aim to penetrate the city of Pokrovsk from various directions and establish positions within buildings.

Earlier, Trehubov reported that Russia has concentrated over 110,000 soldiers in the Pokrovsk direction, double the number of residents in Pokrovsk before the full-scale war. The occupiers near Dobropillya seek to destabilize the logistics of Ukrainian units and force them to spread their forces.
