Lier – Thomas More University in Lier has inaugurated a new Nursing and Midwifery training centre designed to enhance practical education for future healthcare professionals. Campus manager Peter Vervoort and coordinator Eva Eelen emphasize the incorporation of realistic simulations, patient-focused design, and advanced technology, reports 24brussels.

The newly opened facility features a state-of-the-art delivery room where nursing and midwifery students can hone essential medical procedures. According to VRT News, instructors utilize a control room to create real-life scenarios, employing advanced simulation dolls that require delivery, resuscitation, or urgent care interventions.

These training sessions are streamed live to a designated room, enabling other students to observe and assess the conducted exercises. While contemporary in its design, the new space is smaller than the previous skills centre, reflecting a focused approach to education.
