Attack on Russian Oil Refinery in Ufa by Ukrainian Drones

On September 13, 2025, Ukrainian military intelligence launched a drone attack on the “Bashnafta-Novoil” oil refinery in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Preliminary reports indicate that the attack caused damage to a vacuum column used in the primary processing of oil, with final assessments still being determined, reports 24brussels.

According to intelligence analysis, the E-300 Enterprise drone was likely employed during the operation. Analysts from the CyberBoroshno project outlined several potential consequences of the attack, including:

  • Disruption of raw material transportation between storage tanks and processing facilities;
  • Failure of control and automation systems;
  • The need to halt parts of the refining process to contain the emergency.

This incident follows a series of drone strikes by Ukrainian forces targeting critical infrastructure in Russia. Notably, on the night of September 7, the Armed Forces of Ukraine targeted the linear production dispatch station (LPDS) “8-N” near the village of Naytopovichi in Bryansk Oblast. This facility is part of the “Steel Horse” pipeline system, which has a throughput capacity of 10.5 million tons. Additionally, the General Staff confirmed strikes on the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Krasnodar Krai.

As the conflict continues, Ukraine’s strategic operations aim to disrupt Russian supply chains, showcasing the ongoing ramifications of the war. The international community remains attentive to these developments and their potential implications for regional stability.
