On September 14, 2025, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate conducted a combined attack on railway infrastructure within Russia, reports 24brussels.

Yesterday, Russian railway workers discovered mines on the railway section between Maloarkhangelsk and Glazunovka. An engineering team from the National Guard of Russia was dispatched to the site. During the demining operation, an explosion occurred, resulting in the deaths of two National Guard members and leaving one individual with severe injuries.

Following the explosion, over 15 trains were delayed on this railway line. Andrey Klichkov, the governor of the Oryol region, confirmed the explosion on the Maloarkhangelsk to Glazunovka route.

In a separate incident early this morning, an explosion was reported on the Stroganovo-Mshinskaya railway stretch. There were significant disruptions caused by the sabotaging of the Saint Petersburg-Pskov railway connection. A locomotive derailed, and 15 fuel tanks were destroyed in the blast.

A source from the Main Intelligence Directorate indicated that these railway lines are crucial logistical links for supplying Russian military operations in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The attacks on the railway are expected to complicate logistics for Russian forces.

Partisan groups today reported setting fire to a relay box on the railway in the Adyzi-Khably area of Russia.
