Israeli Military Operations in Gaza Claim 108 Lives Amid Continued Offensive
The Israeli military’s operations in Gaza resulted in the deaths of 108 individuals on September 16, 2025, as the Netanyahu administration intensifies its campaign for control over the region, reports 24brussels.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, casualties were reported across several hospitals, with Al-Shifa Hospital receiving 64 bodies, Arab Baptist Al-Ahli Hospital 24, Al-Quds Hospital five, Al-Awda Hospital three, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital six, and Nasser Hospital another six. This surge in fatalities comes as thousands of families are forced to flee from the northern part of the enclave.
The Israeli military employed explosive-laden robots to demolish homes in the northwest and northeast of Gaza, along with assaults on displacement camps and residential structures. Humanitarian organizations reported that 15 of these robotic units destroyed up to 20 housing units each, while the Aybaki Mosque in the Tuffah neighborhood was decimated by an airstrike.
Since the outbreak of conflict in October 2023, Israel has been held responsible for the deaths of 64,964 people, with over 165,312 individuals injured, predominantly children and women. Additionally, reports indicate that 428 people have fallen victim to famine, including 146 children.
The ongoing humanitarian crisis continues to draw international concern, as organizations call for urgent interventions to address the dire conditions facing the civilian population in Gaza. As the conflict escalates, the implications for regional stability and humanitarian needs remain significant.
