Drone Attack Disrupts Kyiv’s Public Transport Systems

A drone attack by Russian forces on Kyiv during the night of September 19 has resulted in potential disruptions to electronic payment systems and ticket validation at rapid tram and funicular stations, reports 24brussels.

The airstrike caused damage to the connectivity channel of the telecommunications network operator servicing the municipal transport company “Kyivpastrans.” Consequently, the official website of the company is temporarily down.

In the event of malfunctioning payment or ticket validation systems, passengers are advised to validate their tickets on board the trams.

Specialists from the transport company and the telecommunications operator are working to restore stable service as quickly as possible.

Additionally, earlier reports indicated that following the Russian drone attack, an unexploded drone was detected in Kyiv.
