Drogenbos police detain two men for using electronic devices to unlock cars

Drogenbos – Two men were arrested in Drogenbos on September 27, 2025, for allegedly using electronic devices to unlock cars at Shopping Cascade. Police are investigating potential thefts and commended a witness and security personnel for their prompt actions, reports 24brussels.

The suspects were apprehended after a vigilant observer noticed their suspicious behavior in the shopping center’s parking lot and promptly alerted a security guard, who in turn contacted the police at the Rode police station.

Authorities are examining the suspects’ involvement in any prior thefts in the vicinity. Investigators utilized electronic tracking to ascertain that the individuals had used transmitters to unlawfully access vehicles at Shopping Cascade.

Subsequent inquiries linked some of the recovered stolen items to previous thefts at the Cora shopping center parking facility in Anderlecht. Both suspects remain in custody and are scheduled to face charges in criminal court on February 27, 2026. Officials are urging the public to exercise caution when parking in communal lots.
