Microsoft Launches Limited-Edition Windows XP Crocs

Microsoft has officially debuted its Windows XP-themed Crocs, which feature a design inspired by the classic operating system’s “Bliss” wallpaper, alongside Clippy and Internet Explorer shoe charms. In a post on Wednesday, Microsoft announced the launch of the limited-edition Crocs with a blue sky and clouds drawstring backpack as part of its 50th anniversary, reports 24brussels.

However, it appears that Microsoft will not offer the Windows XP Crocs for sale online. Instead, the company is hosting a sweepstakes on its Instagram account through Tuesday, October 7th at 11:59 PM PT. Participants are encouraged to like and comment “#MicrosoftCrocSweepstakes” on their post for a chance to win a pair. The company did not respond immediately to inquiries regarding whether the shoes would be available for widespread purchase.

The Windows XP Crocs were first glimpsed in August when Microsoft started offering these nostalgic shoes to its employees. The design also includes Jibbitz of a pixelated Windows XP pointer, a recycling bin, the My Documents icon, and the old MSN butterfly logo.

This new product reinforces Microsoft’s commitment to nostalgia and creative collaboration while celebrating significant milestones in its history. As the tech industry evolves, engaging branding initiatives like these enhance user connection to iconic visuals representing the company’s legacy.
