Explosions Rock Kharkiv as Air Alerts Sound
In the early hours of October 13, 2025, a series of explosions were reported in Kharkiv, with the first occurring around 2:00 AM, reports 24brussels. The Ukrainian Air Force issued warnings of drones heading south over Kharkiv Oblast shortly before the blasts.
The air raid alert for Kharkiv district lasted nearly two hours, from 12:24 AM until 2:21 AM. This alert follows previous disturbances in the area that night.
Earlier, at approximately 9:30 PM on October 12, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported explosions in the city. The Air Force had warned of approaching drones from the north targeting Kharkiv.
At 10:44 PM, Terekhov updated that the strikes had damaged windows in two two-story buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district, as well as in several private structures. There have been no reports of casualties to date.
Additionally, on the same day, Russian forces targeted an educational institution in Chuhuiv, resulting in significant destruction and injuries, highlighting the ongoing conflict’s impact on civilian infrastructure.
