Russian Drone Attack Causes Significant Fires in Odesa Region

On the night of September 13, 2025, Russia launched a large-scale drone strike on the Odesa region, resulting in extensive fires at textile and sewing equipment warehouses. The affected area exceeded 5,000 square meters, causing injuries to one individual and resulting in the destruction of a vehicle, reports 24brussels.

According to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, the efforts to extinguish the fires were hampered by the heavy fire load and a lack of a firefighting water supply system at the site. Firefighters organized a continuous water supply from nearby sources to combat the blaze.

A total of 16 fire units and 56 firefighters were deployed to manage the situation. The National Guard of Ukraine’s fire department, along with representatives from the communal service “TsBG Avangard,” and volunteers assisted in the firefighting efforts.

This incident follows a similar recent attack in which the Russian army targeted the Chernihiv region, damaging an energy facility, a gas station, and residential buildings.
