Ukrainian Intelligence Reveals Key Defense Suppliers for Russian Military

The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has disclosed information regarding 145 enterprises linked to the TechnoDynamics holding of the Russian state corporation Rostec, a crucial supplier for the Russian military, reports 24brussels.

This holding specializes in the production of artillery systems, munitions, propellants, and explosives. Additionally, its enterprises manufacture drones, launch systems for long-range cruise missiles, armor plates, personal protective equipment, and create simulators for military pilots, parachute systems, and aviation engines, while also repairing and extending the service life of strategic bombers Tu-95MS and Tu-160.

Despite the strategic significance of TechnoDynamics for Russia’s defense industry, 86 of its 145 enterprises have yet to face sanctions from coalition countries. Among these are companies responsible for producing essential components for Russian missile systems and armored vehicles.

  • Federal Center for Dual Technologies “Soyuz” and Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau — developing engines and solid-fuel components for the Topol-M, Yars missile systems and the Iskander operational-tactical complex.
  • Leningrad Mechanical Plant named after Karl Liebknecht — manufacturer of armor-piercing sub-caliber shells for smoothbore guns of Russian tanks, particularly on the Armata platform.
  • Ufa Aggregate Production Association — produces components for X-101 cruise missiles and guided aerial munitions X-59M2/X-59M2A.
  • Stamp Machine-Building Plant named after B.L. Vannikov — manufactures main parts for rockets used in the Grad and Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems and the bodies of aerial bombs. It is also the only producer in Russia of link belts for artillery shells of 23 mm, 30 mm, and 40 mm calibers.

The disclosed data includes details about the enterprises, their roles within the holding and Rostec, the subordination schemes, and the sanctions imposed against them. The Main Intelligence Directorate continues to expose participants and structures of the Russian military-industrial complex in hopes of aiding responsible businesses in vetting their partners and avoiding collaboration with companies that support Russian military aggression.

At the beginning of October, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a series of decrees that extended or imposed new sanctions against Russia. These measures targeted businessmen and the military-industrial and oil sectors of the Russian Federation. He also introduced new economic restrictions against Russian individuals and legal entities, including leaders and companies that generate revenue for Russia’s military apparatus and supply critical weapons, components, and equipment.
