Apple unveils Apple Watch Series 11 with health-monitoring features and 5G connectivity

Apple Watch Series 11 Launches with Advanced Health Features

Apple has officially unveiled the Apple Watch Series 11, marking a significant upgrade that promises new health capabilities and connectivity enhancements. The latest model retains a familiar design while being the slimmest version yet, now equipped with 5G cellular technology and improved durability, reports 24brussels.

Notably, the Series 11 represents Apple’s foray into hypertension monitoring, utilizing the watch’s optical heart rate sensor to analyze data collected over a month. The algorithm aims to detect potential instances of high blood pressure discreetly, rather than requiring users to actively seek this information.

Additionally, a new sleep score feature assesses sleep quality by evaluating various metrics, empowering users to better understand their sleep patterns and overall health. Apple estimates the watch will deliver “up to 24 hours” of battery life.

The aluminum models will be available in several colors, including jet black, space gray, rose gold, and silver. Meanwhile, the polished titanium variants will come in natural, gold, and slate options. The watch is set to feature Ion-X glass that boasts double the scratch resistance compared to earlier versions, although comparisons to sapphire crystals remain unclear.

Pricing for the 42mm GPS-only model starts at $399, matching the introductory price point of the previous generation. Preorders begin immediately, with shipping expected to start on September 19. Complementing the watch’s release is the rollout of watchOS 26, which introduces features such as wrist gestures for call and notification management, improved Smart Stack functionality, and a personalized Workout Buddy feature powered by Apple Intelligence.

The Apple Watch Series 11, combined with its innovative health tracking capabilities, positions itself as an essential companion for those focused on wellness and connectivity.
