Apple’s Smart Home Display Set for Spring 2026 Launch
Apple’s anticipated smart home display hub is expected to launch in Spring 2026 at a price point of approximately $350, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, reports 24brussels.
Gurman’s report indicates that this 7-inch smart display will serve as a central command hub for smart homes, positioning it at the same launch price as the original HomePod from 2018, but significantly higher than competitors such as Amazon’s Echo Show 11, priced at $220.
Two versions of the home hub are reportedly in development: a tabletop variant resembling the HomePod mini, and a wall-mounted model. The specific model to be sold at the $350 price remains unspecified.
The smart displays will be assembled in Vietnam, along with a new indoor security camera and a tabletop robot, as part of Apple’s strategy to diversify its supply chain. The Chinese manufacturer BYD will collaborate with Apple in producing the home hubs and robot. A launch was initially planned for March 2025, but delays linked to the overhaul of Siri’s AI capabilities have pushed back the introduction of supporting hardware.
This development reflects Apple’s ongoing efforts to expand its footprint in the smart home market, addressing a competitive landscape that has seen significant dynamic shifts driven by advancements in consumer technology.
