Hasselblad Unveils X2D II 100C, a Revolutionary Medium Format Camera
Hasselblad has launched the X2D II 100C, the first medium format camera that takes true HDR photos. The device features a new 3.6-inch OLED touchscreen that boasts a peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits, which is 75 percent brighter than its predecessor, the original X2D 100C, reports 24brussels.
Priced at $7,399, the X2D II 100C is more affordable than its three-year-old predecessor while maintaining key features. It captures 100-megapixel photos and includes 1TB of internal SSD storage. The camera also retains a similar dynamic range and overall shape. However, the latest model introduces notable upgrades such as LiDAR-assisted autofocus, a 10-stop in-body stabilization system, an additional customizable button, and a new joystick for controlling camera functions.
These enhancements do not detract from the similarities with the previous model but illustrate significant advancements. Colleague Vjeran described the device as “one of the greatest cameras I have ever used.”
For a comprehensive overview of the X2D II 100C’s specifications and usability, additional details are available in Vjeran’s review of the camera.
