Mark Rober to Launch Competition Show on Netflix

Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer known for his science-focused content on YouTube, will debut a competition show on Netflix in 2026. Additionally, Rober plans to present some of his popular and informative experiments on the streaming platform later this year, reports 24brussels.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, Netflix has been in discussions with Rober about this project since earlier this year. There are also conversations with the creators of Dude Perfect, who have over 60 million subscribers, regarding a new series. Earlier in 2025, Netflix began offering videos from Ms. Rachel, known for her educational content aimed at toddlers.

This initiative by Netflix reflects its strategy to leverage the success of YouTube creators. The company has taken inspiration from the popularity of MrBeast’s Beast Games, which became Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted show shortly after its debut last year. Due to its success, that show received a renewal for two additional seasons.
