Nanoleaf Launches New 4D V2 Immersive TV Lighting Kit
Nanoleaf has unveiled its latest 4D immersive TV lighting kit, now equipped with an LED light strip that enhances the ambiance behind your television. This updated version, dubbed the 4D V2, operates alongside a camera that synchronizes lighting effects with the on-screen content. Following the success of its predecessor introduced in early 2023, the more affordable and simplified 4D V2 serves as a viable alternative to higher-priced HDMI-integrated products, such as the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box, which initially launched at $350 but has recently seen price hikes up to $385, reports 24brussels.
The 4D V2 is available now for $99.99 through the company’s online store, with future availability on platforms like Amazon and Best Buy scheduled for September. Although it maintains the same pricing as the original kit, the new iteration is limited to screens measuring up to 65 inches, compared to the previous offering that catered to televisions up to 85 inches.
Nanoleaf claims that the updated color-matching algorithm significantly enhances brightness and vividness for both whites and colors. The redesigned light strip features a zigzag shape, resulting in a lighter, more flexible product that simplifies installation around your TV’s perimeter, eliminating the need for supporting corner brackets. As with earlier models, the strip can be trimmed for smaller screens, automatically adjusting lighting effects to the shorter size.
The control box for the 4D V2, powered via USB-C, connects to both the light strip and camera, offering four different modes. Users can select slower transitions for ambient lighting or faster color changes that accurately reflect on-screen actions. Additionally, the control box integrates with Nanoleaf’s mobile and desktop applications, using the Sync Plus feature to coordinate other Nanoleaf products, enhancing the immersive experience throughout the entire room.
