Razer Expands Pokémon Collaboration with New Headphones in the US
Razer has announced the launch of its Gengar Edition Kraken Kitty V2 headphones in the US, previously exclusive to China, reflecting the company’s strategy to broaden its Pokémon collaboration, reports 24brussels.
The Gengar Edition headphones, available for $139.99 through Razer’s online store in the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe, feature the same functionalities as the standard Kraken Kitty V2. This model includes a Razer HyperClear cardioid microphone designed to reduce background noise, 40mm drivers, and virtual 7.1 surround sound capabilities. Unlike the Bluetooth version, the Gengar Edition is wired only, eliminating concerns over battery life.
Last month, Razer had already expanded the Pokémon collaboration in the US, albeit with a limited range of peripherals featuring popular Pokémon such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pikachu, and Squirtle. The Gengar Edition headphones signify a more ambitious effort, incorporating unique design elements like an illustration of the Ghost/Poison type Pokémon on the earcup liners and a luminous silhouette of Gengar, enhanced by Razer’s Chroma RGB lighting.
In addition to the headphones, Razer has released various Gengar-themed accessories, including a mousepad and keyboard; however, these remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
