Specs revealed for three Samsung foldable devices before Wednesday’s Unpacked event

Samsung Prepares to Unveil Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7

Samsung is set to reveal its latest trio of foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the new Z Flip 7 FE, at a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025. Leaked promotional materials have provided detailed specifications on these devices ahead of the launch, reports 24brussels.

According to the leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be significantly thinner compared to its predecessors, measuring 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. Weighing in at 216g, it will become the lightest book-style foldable phone available. The device features larger displays than the Fold 6, boasting a 6.5-inch exterior screen and an 8-inch interior screen while maintaining a battery capacity of 4,400mAh.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Fold 7 will offer storage options of either 256GB or 512GB, although a 1TB model may also be available. The main camera resolution will reportedly stand at 200 megapixels, with color options including blue, black, and silver.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will debut with a notably larger 4.1-inch cover display, wrapping around the dual camera lenses. This design is similar to that seen in Motorola’s recent offerings. Despite its increased battery capacity of 4,300mAh, the Flip 7 is expected to be thinner than previous models and will include a 50-megapixel main camera.

A more budget-friendly Z Flip 7 FE is also anticipated, featuring 128GB and 256GB storage options coupled with a reduced battery capacity of 4,000mAh. It is expected to retain the same display sizes and design as its more expensive counterpart but will be available solely in black and white.

In addition to the phone leaks, official marketing images for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic have surfaced, showcasing a new squircle design previously used in the Galaxy Watch Ultra. No information was provided regarding Samsung’s rumored trifold device, which may be teased during the event but not fully revealed.
