Google has officially launched the Pixel 10 lineup, featuring four new devices: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Each model includes notable enhancements and additional features that may appeal to potential upgraders, reports 24brussels.
The new Pixel 10 series incorporates built-in Pixelsnap magnets, allowing seamless attachment to wireless chargers. This innovation is part of Google’s effort to compete with Apple, offering accessories that align with this feature. Qi2 certification enables wireless charging speeds of up to 15W for the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold, while the 10 Pro XL boasts a faster Qi2.2 certification supporting up to 25W and improved wired charging capabilities.
In a significant camera upgrade, the base Pixel 10 now includes a third rear camera, a 5x telephoto lens that provides an optical image enhancement termed “10x optical image quality.” However, the main and ultrawide camera specifications appear to be a step back, featuring a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera, slightly lower than the Pixel 9.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold stands out with an IP68 dust and water ingress rating. This marks a substantial improvement over its predecessor, which was rated IPX8, leading to enhanced durability against dust and other elements.
Additionally, Google is incorporating AI-focused tools into the Pixel 10 series. Features like Magic Cue anticipate user needs by suggesting relevant information during phone calls, while Camera Coach provides tips to enhance photo-taking experiences. This shift underscores Google’s commitment to integrating artificial intelligence within its devices.
