Xbox Expands Cross-Device Play History Feature

On August 28, 2025, Xbox announced the broad rollout of its cross-device play history feature, allowing players to maintain a consistent list of recently played games across different Xbox consoles, handheld devices, and PC, including cloud titles, reports 24brussels.

This update, which follows initial testing with Insiders last month, now enables gamers to jump back into their last played games seamlessly, regardless of the device they are using. The new play history can also include games available via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

According to an official blog post, this change ensures that all cloud-enabled titles, ranging from original Xbox classics to Xbox Series X|S exclusives, are displayed in one centralized location. “That means every cloud-enabled title, from original Xbox classics to Xbox Series X|S exclusives, is now in one place whether you own it or play through Xbox Game Pass,” the blog emphasized.

Players on console can access their recently played games through the “Play history” tile on the home page. Similarly, those using the Xbox PC app will see their recent titles listed under the “Play history” tab in the “Most Recent” section and their library.
