Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Supply Line in Kupiansk
On September 17, 2025, Ukrainian military forces destroyed a gas pipeline used by the Russian occupation army to transport troops into Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. In response, Russian forces are attempting to increase troop movements via rafts and boats across the Oskil River, reports 24brussels.
Commander of the 429th Separate Drone Systems Regiment, Yuriy Fedorенко, explained that the gas pipeline, situated in the temporarily occupied territory, could not be excavated by Ukrainian forces. However, they successfully damaged it with artillery fire.
Fedorенко emphasized that the Russian command has tasked its soldiers with encircling Kupiansk from the northwestern outskirts and advancing as far into the city as possible. Currently, fierce street battles are ongoing with Russian saboteurs in Kupiansk.
On September 3, DeepState analysts documented the presence of Russian soldiers on the outskirts of Kupiansk. Since then, occupying forces have actively sought to enter the city. They previously relied on the gas pipeline to facilitate troop movements.
