Russian Occupying Forces Transport Troops from Zaporizhzhia Region
Russian occupying forces are transporting over 20 military trucks with personnel from the Zaporizhzhia region through the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol to the areas surrounding the Russian cities of Rostov and Taganrog, reported Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for Occupation Studies. Military logistics indicate that they are likely moving towards the railway, he noted.
Andriushchenko suggested that, due to the improvement of Ukrainian positions in the Sumy direction and the deteriorating situation for Russian troops, the aggressor country may reallocate reinforcements to this front. “The composition includes a mix, including units from the Caucasus,” he stated.
In June, Andriushchenko referenced mass movements of military equipment and personnel by the invaders towards the Sumy direction. Ukrainian military officer Stanislav Bunyatov pointed out that due to substantial losses, the Russian army is “pulling reserves in a state of agony.”
This recent troop movement underscores the ongoing volatility in the conflict and the shifting dynamics on the battlefield, with both sides adapting to the circumstances. Reports suggest that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to press their advantage in various regions, highlighting the challenges faced by Russian forces.
Further developments are expected as both sides continue to maneuver strategically, reflecting the high-stakes nature of the current military engagements.
