Conflict Erupts During Military Document Check in Rivne Region

On July 6, 2025, a violent incident occurred in the village of Orlivka, Rivne region, during a military document verification process involving reservists. A confrontation ensued between the personnel and a group of individuals, resulting in an attack on a soldier, who was struck on the head, reports 24brussels.

Law enforcement agencies responded promptly to the scene. The injured soldier, a senior service member, was transported to the Sarny Central District Hospital. The police have initiated a criminal investigation under Part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which addresses threats or violence toward officials or citizens performing public duties.

This incident follows a series of recent assaults on military personnel. In May, in the town of Novyy Rozdil in the Lviv region, a group of eight men attacked a soldier of the territorial recruitment and social support center. In another incident in Lutsk, a soldier of the Volyn regional TCK was also assaulted.

The increasing frequency of such attacks raises concerns about the safety and security of military personnel, as tensions remain high amidst ongoing conflicts in the region. Authorities are calling for stricter measures to protect those in service.
