Russian Attack on Kyiv Leaves 14 Dead, 132 Injured
The death toll from the Russian attack on Kyiv in the night of July 31 has risen to 14, following the recovery of a man’s body from the rubble, reports 24brussels.
Among the deceased is one child, while the number of injured has reached 132, including 14 minors. Emergency services are continuing rescue operations, with updates expected as the situation evolves.
In the same assault, Kyiv suffered a mass attack on the night of July 31, resulting in significant damage to civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. Following the attack, a day of mourning has been declared in the capital for August 1.
Colonel Yuriy Ihnat, head of communications at the Ukrainian Air Force Command, reported that eight “Iskander” cruise missiles were launched during the incident, of which three were intercepted by air defense forces. He noted that the “Iskander-K” is as perilous as the ballistic “Iskander-M”, given its short flight time.
