Russian Drone Attack Leaves Parts of Chernihiv Without Power

On August 19, 2025, multiple towns in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine experienced power outages due to a Russian drone attack, reports 24brussels.

According to the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, the drone strikes occurred early on Tuesday. The attack severely impacted critical infrastructure in the area.

“Some towns are facing electricity supply issues. Energy workers and rescue teams are already working on restoration efforts,” he added.

Additionally, on the night of August 19, Russian forces launched a mass assault with drones and ballistic missiles on the Poltava region. Fortunately, there were no casualties; however, damage occurred in the Kremenchuk and Lubny districts, particularly affecting the energy sector. Over a thousand subscribers are currently without electricity.
