First results of airstrike in Cherkasy: local authorities report fires and casualties

Airstrike in Cherkasy Results in Multiple Fires and Injuries

On July 24, 2025, an airstrike hit Cherkasy, igniting several fires in the city. Local authorities reported that six individuals sustained injuries, according to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Igor Taburets, on Telegram.

By 6:15 AM, officials informed that all fires had been extinguished, and there were no further threats to the population.

At 6:30 AM, Cherkasy Mayor Anatoliy Bondarenko reported an increase in the number of injured individuals, indicating seven people sought medical assistance, among them a child.

Bondarenko urged residents to heed air raid alerts, which had been issued twice earlier that day: from 2:33 AM to 5:03 AM and again from 6:26 AM to 6:43 AM.

Earlier reports indicated that on the same day, a drone strike caused damage in Odesa, affecting the Pryvoz area.
