Russian Missile Strike Hits Kamyanske, Causing Casualties
In a nocturnal missile attack, Russian forces targeted Kamyanske in Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in fatalities and injuries. The State Emergency Service shared images of the aftermath of the strike.
“During the night, the enemy attacked Kamyanske with missiles. Unfortunately, two people have died, and five others are injured, including a pregnant woman,” reported Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council.
The aerial assault targeted an unused building, which caught fire, covering an area of 100 square meters. Furthermore, damage was reported to a hospital and a maternity clinic in the city.
Additionally, overnight and in the morning, Russian forces shelled the Nikopol district, affecting Nikopol, Pokrovsk, and Marhanets communities. This assault led to damage to five private homes, two outbuildings, a bus, and several vehicles.
“According to updated information, yesterday’s attacks damaged a shop, garage, vehicle, entertainment venue, post office, private houses, outbuildings, infrastructure, and power lines,” Lukashuk added.
Furthermore, Russian forces struck the Mezhivska, Dubovikivska, and Slovianska communities in the Synelnykove district, resulting in one death and two injuries. Damage included gas stations, private houses, shops, administrative buildings, and vehicles.
“As per confirmed reports, a 75-year-old woman died following the evening strike in the Velykomykhailivka community, while a 68-year-old man sustained injuries. A private residence was also damaged,” Lukashuk summarised.
On a related note, on July 26, Russian military units launched intensive missile and Shahed drone attacks on Dnipro and Kamyanske. This combined assault led to the deaths of three individuals, with six others injured in the region, reports 24brussels.
