Drone Attack on Kyiv Leaves Hundreds Without Hot Water
In the early hours of July 7, Russian drones targeted Kyiv, damaging critical infrastructure, including major heating networks. As a result, approximately 500 buildings, including residential homes, medical facilities, and schools, have been left without hot water, reports 24brussels.
The Kyiv City State Administration reported that a one-meter diameter heating line was damaged. Municipal services are currently engaged in emergency repairs. Moreover, windows were blown out at one energy facility due to the attack.
In the Desnyansky District, drone debris struck an administrative building’s facade, a gas pipeline, and an empty reservoir, triggering a fire from the wreckage. Additionally, a vehicle caught fire as a result of flying debris, with the explosion’s shockwave damaging windows in a non-residential building and several parked cars.
In the Solomiansky District, drone remnants fell on a car wash, damaging several vehicles and a water supply pipe. The Holosiivskyi District also reported broken windows in an office building.
Initial reports indicate that there are no casualties or injuries from the attack.
Furthermore, Russian drones targeted Odesa during the night, resulting in extensive fires in the city.
