Massive Attack on Ivano-Frankivsk: July 21, 2025

On July 21, 2025, Ivano-Frankivsk faced a large-scale assault from Russian forces utilizing missiles and Shahed drones. Mayor Ruslan Marcinkiv confirmed the attack, detailing the damage sustained by infrastructure in three villages within the city’s community, reports 24brussels.

Initial assessments indicate that there were victims, with one reported injury classified as minor. Critical infrastructure has also been damaged. Further evaluations are underway concerning the two additional villages in the Ivano-Frankivsk community.

According to Marcinkiv, this incident marks the most significant attack since the onset of the full-scale invasion, with an unprecedented number of strikes recorded. He expressed gratitude to air defense forces, emergency service personnel, and medical staff who are currently assisting those affected by the enemy attack.

As of 7:30 AM, air raid alerts were still active in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The mayor warned residents to prepare for potential loud sounds in the city as the situation evolves.

Earlier reports indicated that explosions occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk amid the fourth “Kinzhal” attack of the day. The situation remains tense as both local authorities and military forces work together to assess and respond to the ongoing threats.
