Ukrainian Marines Raise Flag in Liberated Kherson Region on Constitution Day
On June 28, 2025, drone pilots from the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Marine Corps raised the blue and yellow flag on the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, marking Ukraine’s Constitution Day, reports 24brussels.
The brigade’s press service shared that the event was intended as a message to the occupying forces: “Happy Constitution Day, Left Bank of Kherson! On Constitution Day, our pilots sent greetings to the occupiers and reminded them: this land is Ukrainian.”
Ukrainian defenders released footage showing the flag of Ukraine and the banner of the 34th Brigade of Marines waving proudly in the region.
In parallel, Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) operatives marked the day by targeting Russian forces occupying Crimea, destroying three Russian helicopters and an anti-aircraft weapon system at Kirovske military airfield. Additionally, drones launched an attack on a military arsenal in Bryansk, which is managed by the Russian Ministry of Defense’s Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate.
